Asking the impossible....

Evening all,

I suspect this is impossible, but I'm going to ask anyway on the offchance that God is real, fancies performing a miracle and reads the PICAXE forums...

I have a program sat on a 20M2 which I foolishly forgot to save to my hard drive.

Is there any way to upload the program from the PICAXE back to the computer?

Many thanks / Stop laughing

While there is the saying:
“The impossible we do at once; miracles takes a little longer”

in this case maybe this should read:
"miracles may take a while, but the impossible cannot be done!"

A few PICAXE related document and PICAXE web pages do make the situation clear.
For example: See page 9 at http://www.picaxe.com/docs/axe049.pdf

Note that is not possible to ‘read’ the program back out of the PICAXE memeory.
Therefore you must save the program on the computer (before it is downloaded) if you
wish to keep your program to use in the future.
also here (at the bottom):http://www.picaxe.com/FAQs/Programming-Techniques/

Can I read my program out of a PICAXE?No. Downloading your program into a PICAXE is a one way process and there is no mechanism to get it back. This protects your program code from being taken or exploited by someone else without permission. We recommend that when developing PICAXE programs you save the program to disk and make regular backup copies.
