I am trying to control a RC car ... any freq between 20 to 40 MHZ .. short distance ... I want to send the analogue values from the potentiometer(used for steering and speed control) in the remote control to the RC car ..

If you value your car then the dumb 433mhz modules would not be worth using, as the airways are cluttered with 433mhz devices, from door bells to garage door openers and even the kid down the road playing with his picaxe chip, and if you live near Stan, the ariways would be totally full i would think. :D

Please suggest me the cheapest way to do the same ...
To do the same the XBEE would be the cheapest i would think, as they are not so dear nowdays for the package they are.

In most countries there are specific frequency bands allocated for remote control models, and ussually different bands for land based and air based models, for obvious safety reasons.
