Where to solder on Datalogger?

I have been given a Datalogger to build, but I noticed some small holes, where no legs of components are meant to be. The holes are where the track moves to the other side of the board, but many of them are under components, such as the terminal blocks. Should I solder wires in these holes?

These are probably "Plated Through Holes" (PTH) which means that the wall of the hole has a metal surface which provides continuity from the track on one side of the board to the other, and thus you don't need to solder wires in those holes.

Such holes under components usually are PTH because soldering a wire in would prevent thsoe components sitting flat on the PCB.

A continuity or resistance check with a multimeter from the track on one side of the PCB to the track on the other should confirm either way.

As Hippy describes, these are 'vias' - plated holes whose job is to simply connect different tracks on both sides of the board.

Just ignore them!
