Using SOIC devices in breadboards

I don't know if any of you are aware of these little gadgets made by Aries Electronics. They allowed me to test an 8 pin SOIC device on a conventional breadboard. They also gave me some SOIC soldering practice.

I know that $6.00 USD is a bit steep, but they are very useful.

Yes, they are handy.

I prefer Winslow Adaptics like this:-

The only reason is that the legs are <0.5mm diam which means they can plug into DIP sockets without damaging (or badly distorting) the socket leaves.
