Updated search facility

[Technical]

We are pleased to announce we have updated and improved the forum search facility. It is now possible to search on multiple words and smaller (e.g. 3 letter) words by default.

To use multiple words (AND function) simply type the words into the default search box separated by a space e.g.

18x ds1307 i2c

To search on partial words use * e.g.

18x ds13* i2c

This should make it much easier for people to find information. I2C 08M now brings up everything I wanted to know about bi banging I2c on an 08M.

Why does nothing come up when I search "PICAXE".
(somehow I think most results will have a PICAXE basis anyway )

I expect its too common.

The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search : PICAXE

Many thanks, Technical. This should help both newcomers to the forum and "senior members" who know a certain post was made but whose senior moments don't give them either Eclectic's facility for the right search combination, or his persistance, if that explains his ability to come up with the relevant post.
