Terminal Block- What is pitch???

The distance between the pins.

A standard dual inline IC socket is 2 breadboard holes 0.1 (inch) pitch, and 4 breadboard holes (0.3 (inch)) across.

So it is the distance between hole centres on your PCB.

The space between your legs.

More precisely, the gap between the pin centres.

That link has an error and should be 9.53mm.
Always read Manuf's Data Sheet.

Pitch is more precise. Spacing raises the question - is that between the pins (not including the thickness of the pins) or, the space from centre to centre of the pins (i.e. pitch).

Quite right BCJ.

Perhaps.. maybe leave it non-engineers to misunderstand a definition? ;)
- just kidding Lefty, I reverted to 'student' mode there.
