Temp to PWM ideas ?

Hi Guys,

Need a little help or another way if req ?

What i'm trying to achieve :

I want to read a Dallas DS18B20 temperature sensor and have the result display on an rgb led ie:COLD = Blue, Green = ok and Red = HOT.

I have thought of reading the sensor and its value and converting that to a specific RGB/pwm value. Hopefully that could give a slow transistions thru the different colours as the temperature rises and falls ?.

any suggestions and greater experience welcome

See, for example posts 13 and 20.

Could you provide a table of values required?

Eg
0'C = Blue
10'C = B/G
30'C = G
…....
100'C = Red
etc.

Using say Pin4 for readtemp, and Pins 0,1,2 for Pulsout,
it should be possible to fulfil your requirement.

Ill have a look at the colours required and get back to you.

I need red for hot
green for ok
and blue for cold
at room temperature - OFF (16-24 deg ?)
will have to take some temperature measurements and as you say work out a table.
