Sweet Sorter MOD020 colour sensor

From what I can see on the hardware page that the sweet sorter is available to buy.

Is the colour sensor available as a separate item?

Or do we have to use the parallax colorpal sensor from now on?

The sensor is not available as a separate item.

The ColorPal is one option, but many people prefer the Lego sensor instead

The sensor is very similar to, if not identical to the TCS3200. That is available from many distributors. Mine come from Jameco.

And the irony is that they probably have a fairly expensive and complex bit of machinery in the sweet factories that takes all the individual colours and mixes them up as randomly as possible!!
