Simplest possible 40X1 circuit

Hello

I would like a schematic of the simplest possible 40X1 circuit without the programming part. I know I need 10k/22k resistors but I'm not sure exactly what to do with them. Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't use the search to find what I wanted.

I dare to suggest you read the Getting started manual, it is automatically copied during the Programming Editor installation.

There you´ll find the Picaxe equivalent to the "hello World" app, which is the flash a LED circuit (pretty much the simplest thing you could do...

Ah thanks, I was looking in the wrong place. I'm actually not new to Picaxe but after a long break I seemed to have lost the little I knew!
