Peek and Poke words

It would be nice if the peek and poke commands would peek/poke a complete word rather than just the least significant byte.

They can - Check PICAXE Manual 2 "Basic Commands"

To use the PEEK/POKE WORD commands you'll need a version 5.0.X Programming Editor and "Enhanced Compiler" selected.
