Maximum VDD on the 3V version of the 28X2

The datasheet for the Microchip PIC18F25K20 (Picaxe 28X2 3V version) states in the absolute maximum ratings table:
"Voltage on VDD with respect to VSS ........................... -0.3V to +5.0V"
A fully charged LiPo cell may go as high as 4.1~4.3V. What problems, if any, should I expect using a LiPo to power a circuit?

The operational range is 1.8v to 3.6v, this is the range that Microchip guarantee it will work over.

-0.3 to 5.0 is the range it can withstand without permanent damage, but no guarantee that it will work properly within this range.

What problems you will have are impossible to predict, but I wouldn't risk it for the cost of a regulator.
