LCD display and temperature sensor

I can't seem to get it working

How exactly is it not working ? Does nothing, displays some data but also corrupt data, gets hot and sparks fly out of it, appears to disappear off the bench for a few seconds then re-appears with alien artefacts attached ;-)

Have you ever had it working, or individual components working ?

Can you at least download programs to it ? Apart from not controlling the LCD, does it work other than that ?

We really need a circuit diagram, and indicationss of what components are used and even datasheets for LCD etc. It may simply be that you've got the pin numbers of the LCD reversed but hard to say without knowing what the circuit should be, or what connects to what.

Equally the circuit could be perfect but it's the code which is wrong so we need to see a copy of that.

You seem to be using a 3 x AA battery pack - some LCD's are picky about voltage so maybe try with a regulated 5V supply.
