ICE With Logicator

Apparently ICE (In Circuit Emulation) only works with Logicator.I have tried ICE with logicator and cannot get it to work. Has anyone out there tried ICE with success?

Yes. It works for me.

When I click Simulate, followed by connect live ice I get the following message

“ Could not connect, the chip must be running the ice communication program. Do you want to download the ice program now?”

When I click Yes, I get an error message as follows:

“ This command requires ‘1’ not the variable ‘pin1’!

Please Help

28X1 --- using inputs 0 and 1 and output 0

I cannot see any issues with the 'Connect' program downloaded itself and the 28X1 ICE seems to work for me, so it's not clear if this is a problem with the ICE or your flowchart. I'm not sure what, "using inputs 0 and 1 and output 0" means in respect of the flowchart you have.

1) Make sure you have the latest Logicator for PIC and PICAXE downloaded and installed - Version 3 Build 3.1

2) Reduce your flowchart to the bare minimum ( Start then Stop ) and try that.

Thanks so much hippy. I thought I had the latest build of Logicator but I hadn't.
Everything OK now.
