I'm a student trying to build an automated lawnmower, however I am having trouble in trying to find a way of keeping my lawn mower on the grass without the use of a physical barrier. I would like to use a burried wire fence like the ones used in pet saftey systems, but I'm not sure how exactly they work. I have searched online and there isn't an explaination of how a buried wire fence works or a circuit diagram of the system to show me how it works.
