Highlighting Manual Updates

Technical,

My apologies if this has bee covered in the past...

Many technical manuals I read are regularly updated (as are the Picaxe ones). Most other manuals use a system of highlighting 'what's new since the last update' in some way, usually with a black bar in the column / border adjacent to the new additions.
This would be a great system to implement for the Picaxe manuals, as we could straight away see any new additions or corrections to the text without having to re-read whole sections. Could this be considered for future updates?

Thanks,

Rob.

Revision / Change Marking for manuals and datasheets

This topic has been raised before.

Recall the “answer” is that Rev Ed use software to maintain their manuals which does not include the required capabilities.

Certainly in a word document there are options which include:
- Inbuilt change tracking
- Use of macros to add a revision marker

See that attached examples

The previous response probably still stands then. No matter that Word may provide the ability, the software used does not.
