Dual 12V/5V Regulator

When using Picaxes, a 5VDC supply is required, and, when using other IC’s or equipment with the Picaxe, another DC supply (with common Gnd) may be also be needed (eg 3.3V,9.0V, 12.0V, 15.0V, 24.0V etc)

In a recent project I needed a 12VDC +ve supply as well as 5VDC +ve supply so went trolling for a dual 12V/5V single regulator, but was unable to track down much on the subject.

Has anyone used, or heard of such a device, (just to save using two regulators)?

Dual output regulators exist. I've never used one.

This is just one example of a low power adjustable one. I'll leave you (and others) to Google.

Though, for anything that gets a bit warm I would still use separate ones.

Linear Technologies have a number of chips that can provide dual voltages at low current levels e.g. LT1313 and the Cherry Semiconductor CS8156
