Hi etotmant, thanks for your suggestion, I have tried it and made another two attempts to do the download without success. Each time the "message" " failed, not a valid Win 32 application" appears after about 10 megabytes of the download has been recorded. Anybody any more suggestions ?.

Given your error messages; what software/application are you using to download the Programming Editor software ?

Calvely. Have a look at the Technical’s first post, here.

You need to install v.5 OVER 4.15.

1. So, go to Home, Software, then download the 4.15, and install it.

2. Finally, download 5.04.
And look at Hippy’s tip here, re zip?xyz .

Thanks for all the suggestions. No progress, I suspect the ISP. They are pretty hopeless. There is no urgency, I have been using ver. 4.05 and the earlier versions quite happily for years and will continue until the promised new version appears on CD and then buy the CD.
