COM to TCP/IP

I everybody
I am trying to configure a COM to TCP/IP connection between a laptop (slave) and a desktop (Master)
over the local network using the Serial to Ethernet configuration wizard on the programming editor. (Version 5.2.0 on both machines)
The picaxe chip is connected to the com 1 (Only com port) of the laptop and can be programed with the programming editor on the laptop.
Laptop IP adresse is 192.168.1.90
On the desktop computer (IP 192.168.1.75), there are 3 com ports (1 to 3) and all 3 are in use,
Using the Serial to Ethernet configuration on the desktop computer I chose Com 4 (the first unused com port) in step 1
In step 2, I put the laptop IP adresse (192.168.1.90 DDNS unchecked) and choose com 1 on the remote computer
Pink test results are OK in step 3
Configuration of the com port is succesfull in step 4
Trying to program the remote Picaxe from the desktop gives me the (Serial port error - Port not present or already in use!)

What have i missed? do I need to do something on the remote computer?
Should the programming editor be running on the remote computer?

The network is working fine as i can transfer files in both direction from both computers

Thanks for your help
