Hi guys,
just wanted to make sure before I order it.
Can I use a BS170 to control a dc toy motor speed?
According to the datasheet, it seems to be ok, as the motors I'm using are:
5v
Current@rated load - 1A.
No load current - 350mA
and the datasheet for the mosfet says:
60v
Drain Current - Continuous 500 mA
Pulsed 1200
It's my first time using mosfets, so I just wanted to make sure it'll be ok. I believe I'll be using PWM to drive the motors through my L293D, so 1200mA on the mosfet should be enough in case the motor stall right?
Thanks in advance
