Today my axe 133 budget 16 x 2 lcd screen decided to show me 32 blocks of solid grey instead of the usual start screen. When I power it down, the 'www.picaxe.com' etc becomes visible briefly.
Have I killed it?
In case this happens to anyone else out there, just adjust the wiper on the trim pot on the back until the screen comes back to normal... must have knocked it on something.
