Hi.

Do PE autosave before a program is downloaded to a PICAXE?

I can't seem to find any info about it...

From what i know the answer is NO, it just downloads the current file open on the screen, the same as if you printed a page from any doc, it will just print the page/file that is currently open on screen, and not save any changes you made to the file, you need to click the save button to do that.

OK.

I got, not the blue screen of death, but the program is not responding, and I had to restart the computer. Luckily I have the CTRL+S in my left little finger and in the left indexfinger. It wasn't too bad.

Look in the \users\user\AppData\Temp folder for a file named ecode.bas. Best I can tell is that this is the last file PE worked with. If you are lucky it will be the one that you want.

This file is generated/updated whenever you program a Picaxe, run the simulator, or do a "check syntax". Otherwise it seems to be undocumented.
