Firmware check failed!

08m2 connected to Axe091 via serial cable, failure to detect chip, however, I can access the serial terminal and send and receive data from a previously loaded programme. Same scenario with several chips and separate Axe091.....

The compiler/downloader has not changed, so that function is unchanged.
Try a hard-reset, this sounds like a hardware problem.
