28X1 questions

I,m about to place my third order with techsupplies;).
I,m moving onto the 28X1, although if I was patient, I,d wait for the 28X2:rolleyes:

Can someone confirm a couple of things for me please?
I would like to purchase a 28X1 prototype pcb, that is, just the pcb, not a kit, but I can't find one on the website. Do they sell just a pcb?
Also I can't find a 28pin IC socket, again do they sell one?

A few years ago, when I first go into Pic's I bought a job-lot of 500 4mhz resonators. I put a few on eBay every now and then, and I got my money back no probs:). Still got a few 100 of these, but no 8 or 16 megs. I,m thinking I,ll be needing a 16, or 8mhz for the 28x1. Anyone interested in swapping a few 4mhz for 8 or 16 ?:p
I think I,m correct in saying that the max speed the 28X1 will run without an external resonator is 8meg, and with, 20hmz?

Cheers,
Texy

The PCB is only supplied in a small kit - AXE022P
IC socket - ICH028
Internal max 8MHz, external 20MHz (although 16MHz recommended for baud rates etc., as it is an even multiple of 4).

Thanks Tech.
I found some 28pin sockets at work, so I don't need to buy them now:D.
Its a shame the pcb isn't available seperately, but then it does look a little on the large size, as it also caters for the 40X chip range.

Cheers,
