For our Data Logger we are using the standard programing editor connection using the 3.5mm stereo socket (22k /10k level shifter) and 9 pin D type connector to my desk PC. We want to plug a laptop and use Datalink (F9) to extract data, but when inserting or removing the stereo plug the PICAXE tends to reset itself, which is not what we want. It seemed to be OK if it was disconnected at the D type end first.
I quess it is probably due to incorrect connections "flashing" as the plug is moved in and out.
Has anyone else found that and are there any simple solutions to avoid this please ( eg by some small spike absorbing caps etc) if that is the problem.
