B boriz Senior Member Jun 30, 2009 #1 Using a 14m, is there a single command that will set the state of 7 outputs (8, even better).? PINS will only set 6. Perhaps a POKE can do it? I know I can do it with two commands, but I need speed.

D Dippy Moderator Jun 30, 2009 #2 I haven't looked in detail, but the 14m (16F684) has the outputs over ports A and C, therefore a single POKE couldn't do it. I may have wrong end of stick so first check th Microchip data sheet, that might make thing clearer.

B boriz Senior Member Jul 1, 2009 #6 But ... I just ordered a bunch of 18M's! Please tell me they can do it.
Technical Technical Support Staff member Jul 1, 2009 #7 Yes, 18Ms have 8 outputs too. We suggested the 20M as it is the same layout as your 14M - just longer!
