pe6 editor not recognising valid program

I have a weird one. Development setup working fine, and have burned large 28X2 programs without issue.

However, I have a short 18M2 program that the editor won't recognise as valid – the 'Check syntax' and 'Program' options are greyed out.

I have checked all the hardware connections, download cable, chip firmware connection ('Check PICAXE type connected' command) and so on.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Cancel this: the file had a '.txt' extend and not '.bas'.

Duh!
