VDrive2 pins pitch

I ordered a VDrive2 with high hopes of testing some datalogging but was surprised and annoyed to find the unit pins and connector cable uses a pitch of 2mm (0.08").

Every electronic component I've ever bought has a pitch of 2.54" (0.1") and I found out that even the Vdrive1 used it. Why the change and the the heck am I going to connect the VDrive2 to my (2.54mm pitch) breadboard???

This is a bought in module so it's design is not under our control. We too would prefer 2.54mm, but many bought in modules (e.g. Xbee) use 2mm simply to save space, many modern devices do use it (or even smaller)!

However it is supplied with a cable with matching socket - just use that!

Simply cut the cable in half, buy a 2.5mm spaced socket and crimp into that. You can then use a 2.54mm header on your breadboard.

Or simply solder the wires straight onto a header, turned pin IC socket etc. etc.
