Hi Eric, I read a post about you successfully getting a TopWay LM6038D 128x64 LCD to run using a 18X at 8Mhz. I tried to add to the post - couldn't - it was archived.
I see you had it running in serial mode, just like I will. I have a 40X for use, and can beef it to 16Mhz to help out the display.
I see you posted pin config for the module you had with 2 x CS lines, could you please let me know how you configured your TopWay? I saw your code there (nicely Alpha-Bravo-etc!) which will help a lot.
A few other things you might be able to comment on -
1. I'm sure somewhere I read that these GLCDs need a negative voltage as well - though I couldn't find reference to that in the 6038D datasheet. Did you run yours with a Vdd of around 3V, and 0V for Vss?
2. For the LED backlight - how many volts?
3. The datasheet mentions several power booster circuits that can be connected on pins 16-27 - did you use or need any of these?
