Have used successfully the current editor for several months on my old XP SP2 laptop. Loaded (and reloaded !) same (BAS805.EXE) on a new XP SP2 laptop, and when I attempt to check the syntax of a program,I get "Error:53 file not found" and "The following path is invalid" C:\program files\programming editor\picprog\picaxe18a.exe" although this is the actual path of the program. (Also tried to reload after disabling firewall and virus checker but to no avail). Clearly this is a laptop problem, but wonder whether any one else had encountered this anomaly ? Thanks in advance.
