pwmout command not working

The pwmout command changes frequency even though I havent changed the period of the cycle. It depends on the program I load onto the picaxe. Both programs have the same pwmout command but differ by 50kHz. Plus my digital input pins arnt waorking. Do I need a new chip?

Adam.

Could you please provide the following infomation:

1. Picaxe and connections, or preferably, the circuit diagram.
2. The programs you are using.
3. The results of your tests c/w the measurement method.

Adam, welcome to the Forum.
Please remember, however, that our clairvoyance skills are quite limited :)

As Eclectic says, please provide the PICAXE type (e.g. 18X) , the conditions of your testing and code sample.

Also:
Is the PICAXE in a plug-in breadboard? Or a project board? Or a home made PCB?
Your Power Supply? (e.g. 3 AA batteries, quality Bench PSU , nuclear power station?)
Have you used the PWM calculator to produce your frequencies and duties?
How are you measuring the Freq and Duty? Do you have a good 'scope?
How are you connecting the input pins?

Failure from factory is highly unlikely. Obv not impossible. Usual faults are caused by user error including wrong power/power reversed etc.
