prog editor hangs whenever opened

I have reinstalled the programming editor numerous on my powerful Win XP system, but to no avail. It consistently hangs the computer completely when started-just after the about/splash screen loads...the computer will not respond at all, and the only thing i can do is to cut the power.

Any ideas?

First you should be able to kill the application by entering the task manager. Cont Alt del.

second although I hve been using Prog ed 4.1.5 on my Xp pro system today it has started to hang just as your does. It has to be a setting beacuse it has worked a couple of weeks ago. Mmmmm

This is happening at are college too. Has any one got any ideas on how to resolve this it has been working before but has suddenly stopped.
