Hi everybody.
In the following image you can see the footprint of the Picaxe 40X2 with all the traces; pins with no internal connection have no traces (of course). I've highlighted few ones (0v, +V, rest pin, hi2c sda, hi2c scl)

I think that there should be no problems in placing some traces under the IC. In the next image, you can see it with the trace starting from the reset pin, and reaching the +V pin via a resistor.
Even the 0V and the +V are connected with traces under the IC.
On most Picaxe chips, the two hi2c pins are adjacent, but not on the 40X2 SMD.
My question is: can I draw a trace under the Picaxe chip from a hi2C pin to a pin which is adjacent to the other hi2c chip?
Please look at the following image.

I know, I'll lose a pin, cause I will not be able to use the pin under which I put the hi2c line, but will I have problems with this layout? I mean, is there any problem if that pin is in contact with the line coming from the hi2c pin?
Thank you for your answer.
