PE 6.0.8.0 Template Improvements

You folks have to do some work on the way a program template is used in PE.

This is a kluge at best. I've wasted enough time locating and etc. I know there's a link in the screen that pops up when the help "?" is clicked on, but that isn't really obvious.

My template stuff got changed when I upgraded to 6.0.8.0 and innocently chose to have the new program available to all users.

Wouldn't it be OK if we could locate and name a template whatever we wanted?

To open the template for editing simply click the link beside where this feature is enabled in Options:

It would be nice to have a folder tor templates, like word processors have.

If you want multiple templates we suggest you just use your own folder and file>open to open them, as the template feature is not really designed for multiple files, its just a quick default header at the top of a new file.

The next release enables you to select your own filename for the template, and as it is your own file it won't be overwritten by any update.

Could you add a button/link to open the template folder too?

Help -> About and the "PICAXE Editor My Settings Folder" link at the bottom right should take you to the folder which holds the templates sub-folder the templates are stored in.
