Load menu: always starting at the folder 'system32'

Hi:
There is something mad about the 'load'/'save as' menu: it's file location always starts at 'system 32:confused:' and I have to browse out of the system folders and into 'my documents' every time I click on the load button to load a saved schematic!

Could anyone sort this out? :)

Sounds like you have changed the default settings - use
System>Set Paths... menu to select your preferred startup path.

I see! all good now.

---but when i first got the vsm program, the default startup path was factory set to 'system32', and i never seen the load menu start anywhere else, so I have never gone to system/set paths until now.

Thank you for your help.

The default setting is 'windows default' which is normally 'My Documents'. However if Windows itself has been configured differently this setting could then pass through to VSM, as appears to have happened in your case. However the 'Set Paths...' menu easily corrects this, you can choose whatever folder you like!

So Vista does not have a default setting for programming editor and vsm telling the right place to save the documents (the 'documents' folder)...

Anyway, thanks for your help ;)
