LM386, need help...

I went to the RatShack today and brought home an LM386N audio amp, but they didnt have the other parts I need. According to the datasheet, I need a 250uF cap and a .05uF cap. They had no .05 and the closest thing they had for the other was 220. I dont know if they are supposed to be electrolytic, though I am assuming so.

I am open to suggestions, Id like to put the amp into service.

Thanks,
Andrew

The 220uf will work fine for the audio output capacitor. The .05 uf cap is not critical either. Any value from .047 to .22 uf will work just as well. The 220uf is an electrolytic the .05 is not.

Thank you very much Steve, good help.

I am still learning electronics, so please if you would, what type of cap _is_ the .05uF?

Thanks!!

Andrew,

Just about any type in the values mentioned before.
The Radio Shack #272-1068, .047uf "metal film capacitor" will work just fine.
