Is there a way to set Program Editor to actually
open the .BAS file when you double click on it,,?
At present my Prog-Ed opens up but I still
have to go and select the file I wish to
work on.
Also I've had enough of the save changes
window every time I close the App, even
though I may have already saved any changes.
I must be getting grumpy in my old age.

Yes me too. I find it frustrating to have to explain to schoolkids why you can double-click on a .bas or .cad file and PE pops up, but then you have to go searching for your file again.

Are we missing something, or doesn't PE look at command-line args?

I have version 4.2.2 of the serial programmer (c)2002. I ran the version 4.1.15 (5MB) upgrade patch and now I have version 4.2.3.
What's with all these version numbers?

Serial PIC programmer is a separate program for use with assembler code programming of PICs. It is not used with BASIC programs/PICAXE chips.

The upgrade version number applies to the main Programming Editor software, not serial pic programmer.
