I am new to picaxe and have a project for school please read on.
I want to use a color sensor to separate the different colors of marble . i have found some information one is of the AXE045 but it is discontinued, I have noticed that Parallax has a sensor simular in physical look is this the same as the AXE045 ?, so I bought a color sensor the TSC230 Color Sensor however it is being used by the Arduino but I bought it to see if I can get a picaxe to operate it so.I looked at the AXE045 sheet and tried to recreate the circuit useing the schematic of the 08M2 chip but not all of the pins are being used on the sensor board i tried the sample programs listed at the end of the document and tried to operate a servo and nothing is happening I keep getting confused and dont know were to start . My goal is to have the sensor detect whether it is a red, green or yellow marble send a signal to sthe servo to move it in that bin location so that the marble can be put there. any links or suggestion or lots of help would be very grateful.
I am also trying to have a understanding for the pin layouts of the TAOS (TCS32000 color chip ). back to the schematic what I did is recreqate the chip schematic on a bread board and connect the pins to the color sensor I used the scheamtic in the AXE045 document. this is my first posting, hope that I made my self clear on my problem and what I need to do.
