08M2 pin c.5 as 'straight' high/low input in simulation

Hi all,
Anyone had issues when trying to use the 08M2 C.5 pin as a 'standard' binary on/off input in simulation (PICaxe Editor 6), that when clicking on the diagram pin, that it resets the whole program simulation?
Perhaps I'm missing fundamental?

You need to add a 'disconnect' command before using the serrxd pin as a normal input. Otherwise, as on a a real chip, it will reset the device.

Thanks Technical, most helpful. A subsequent search on 'disconnect' and I can see that others have tripped on this issue too. Cheers again.
