8 pin reprogrammable FLASH Microchip PIC12F629-I/P microcontroller.
I would have already had this deal if I knew that I could reprogram it with my own programming.
Not sure where the PIC12F629 reference comes from; it is that but it is pre-programmed as a PICAXE-08. Not as powerful as the later 08M or 08M2 but good enough for what was intended.

This was a product originally designed for a third-party so does not have any official documentation but Hairy Animal, stevesmythe and others, have reverse engineered the board, identified the I/O connections and provided a circuit -

I missed that previous post, hippy. Thanks. The number came off the IC on board and the description from picaxe store.

The freight charge will double the cost to me, but I'll see if it makes sense.
