Default Is it possible to change the background and font color to something else?

I was wishing for a way to tone down that white background and change font color too.
Maybe have a way to change color of keywords, commands, comments.
I have not had much success trying to do this. Am I missing something?
    Thanks

I don't know if you are missing something, but we are.

"change the background and font color" for what? The Picaxe editor? The forum?

There is an options area in the PE editor where you can change a lot of things.

The colors in the editor.(That's why I posted it in here.) I have seen the settings for colors, but they dont appear to cover the background and such.

I went back again and looked and although it is not obvious, I found out that the changes I was making were not taking effect until I closed the dialog completely.
Many thanks to you guys! (I use WinXp btw.)
