Timing diagram interpretation

Dear all,

Yet anothe CCD linear sensor has arrived. This time it is a TOSHIBA and lets see if I can get this one working. Do I interpret the timing diagram in the datasheet correctly, that there is one pixel data output per two clock pulses? In case I would read this through comparator (to 'digitize' the output) connected to HSPI (the only option for 400kHz+ clock speeds required) would I then interpret every two neighbouring bits as the same signal (i.e. read one bit and discard the second one or read both and know that this is a more reliable read, if both are the same and something fuzzy if they differ)?

While this is certainly pushing the limits, on 40X2 I can stuff this many bits in scratchpad and process them. I just don't know how many times I manage to do this per second, but there is no other way to find out, but try :).

Thank you,

Edmunds
