Simblee Board

I just got an e-mail from Spark Fun about the Simblee Bluetooth low energy board. Is there any way we can use this with a Picaxe?
Or is it just for the Arduino?
Not sure it's even 'for the Arduino'. It looks to be a standalone module which just happens to use their IDE to download code into it. If it had a suitable program written and downloaded into it I imagine it could work with any microcontroller.

Hi Hippy,

Thanks for the reply!

I gather there haven't been any Bluetooth LE (smart modules), only the HC-05 and HC-06 which were regular Bluetooth, used with the Picaxe. Guess it is only a matter of time!

Take care, Joe.

Hi Hemi345,

Wow, they look exactly like the HC-06 and HC-05 modules, so I hope they work the same! TX and RX the same, I hope! If you have the chance, that would be fantastic, especially if the same Picaxe code (serin C.0, T9600_8,..) works with the 18M2 and my favorite Android app (RoboRemoFree).

Thanks!!!!

Take care, Joe.
