Something I've always noticed while editing. Must be the way the line editors are built to not select punctuation.

"@bptr" - double click does not highlight the "@". Same thing happens on this forum editor and the other editors that I've used.

However, its only really important in PICAXE Basic that the "@" stays with the rest.

I catches me sometimes while doing Copy/Paste.

A change would be nice. :)

Most applications providing text editing seem to do their own thing on double-clicking. The ones which annoy me are those which select the entire "SerTxd(b0)" when double-clicking on "b0" and don't select only within the bracketing.

It is probably due to taking whatever the editing control provides by default which is why it is so variable; different controls offer different functionality but bring with them different double-click handling. No matter what is done there will always be some who prefer it to be different.

I have anyway made a note of the issue for investigation.

And triple clic select all the line...

suggestions :
- single clic : place cursor,
- double clic : select contiguous letters,
- triple clic : select line
- SHIFT clic : select all between spaces or quotes,
- CTRL clic : select all between brackets,
- SHIFT double clic...
