Virtual Instruments display size

When a virtual instrument is first placed on a schematic it is small in size to match the schematic layout. The same virtual instrument can also be displayed in a much larger format where the virtual instrument's controls can be manipulated.

My question: how can you switch back and forth between the two (large/small)displays?

I'm surprised that this topic never received a reply. Especially since it's been sitting here since 2014! So this answer is for the next member that might ask the same question.... I don't think you can bring the virtual instrument to life in edit mode because the virtual instruments don't become active until VSM is running the simulation or in Pause mode.
