Upgrading

Hello

I am trying to upgrade my VSM Version as my license has just expired. If I follow the reminder link from the software (to upgrade) it goes to my internet browser but then bombs out with a "500 Internal Error". The same thing occurs if I try to upgrade by using the VSM Upgrade utility.

The PICAXE Website only sells the full version of the software but not a renewal. The Labcenter Electronics Web Site doesn't list the PICAXE VSM version.

Does anyone know how I go about getting a license renewal? If possible, I would prefer to give RevEd the business rather than bypassing them as this supports the very people who create PICAXE in the first place.

Don't worry. I managed to find the appropriate web site (via picaxestore.com). I don't know why I couldn't find this until now(?). Sorry to trouble you with this issue.

I too have had a miserable time trying to renew my VSM. The link in the app throws a server error and the "Renewal" link at the Picaxe store keeps returning "OOps! My bad....."., which has ceased to be humorous. That said I did follow the link you posted but the purchase process is anything but typical or intuitive. I don't know if I'm supposed to selected one of the payment options at the bottom of the page or not because the process doesn't walk me through as is typical. I do get a message that my purchase inquiry has been sent to Picaxe but I don't even receive an automated email receipt that they've received it.

In short, I'd feel much more confident that my time hasn't been wasted if I had received an automated receipt of inquiry within minutes of sending it.

We are can't see a 'oops' bad link in the store, can you be more precise at to where it is (perhaps you mean on the main picaxe.com site, not the store, where there was a bad link we have just fixed?)
Thank you for responding. Yes, a link from the main picaxe page brought me to the software page.. http://www.picaxe.com/Software/PICAXE/PICAXE-VSM that contains the renewal link .. http://www.picaxestore.com/index.php/en_gb/vsm001up.html . It was this link that was bad but working now. The picaxe store contacted me via email and I successfully placed the renewal order at the link you gave me. Hopefully the license key will be in my inbox by tomorrow.
