Looking for Projects!

Hi,

I have the Picaxe 08M2 Chip and PICAXE-80 Proto Board, and I am looking for things to make. I am limited to a speaker and some LED. I have two boards, so anything would be appreciated.

Thanks

Apparently you can use an LED as a light sensor. I have never set up an experiment to prove this myself, I just accept what others tell me. But if you're curious you could try it. If possible use the bright/dark to change the frequency of the speaker for some silly theremin sounds...

Just an idea.

Yes, but that is already given.
How do you do it with any song that you find.
For example: the Simpsons Theme song rttl file?

Some project ideas for 08M2 + LEDs + push buttons + piezzo (speaker):
Chasing light with 4 LEDs.
Timer with 3 push buttons.
Two LEDs PWM controlled (with or without pot).
Turning LED(s) on and off with one push button.
Electronic dice.
Candle simulation.
Traffic lights.
Speed of flash controlled by push button.
Metronome.
Morse code transmitter.

Did I forget anything?

The Programming editor has an inbuilt wizard to convert RTTL files into PICAXE tune commands.

Also ....

Welcome to the PICAXE forum

You'll get bored quickly. You don't even need a real Picaxe to play with speaker & LEDs, you can program those in the simulator.

Why limit yourself? Live a little, spend $5 and get some sensors & servos on Ebay.
