Micro SD to SD adapter for OpenLog logger.

I built a portable receiver for $50SAT so that I am not tied to a PC for listening for packets.

For field use the received data can be directed to a PC file on a Micro SD card via an OpenLog Logger.

However, Micro SD cards are hardly ideal for field use and I would much prefer to send the output to the much larger SD card type.

I found an adapter, see picture, for around £12.

Can anyone think of a different solution ?

Hi,

I'm not sure if it's what you are looking for, but micro to normal SD(HC) adapters are available quite cheaply (around £1), or often "free" with a microSD card. Here is an example but there are many others.

EDIT: Ah, I see what you want to do now. Could you perhaps just glue (Araldite) the microSD onto a much larger (passive) "tag" (that is easier to handle) which will plug into the OpenLog or into an SD adapter?

Cheers, Alan.
