Parallax Text-to-speech module...

Hi.

Anyone used the Emic2 module?

Reasonably standard computer voice, but still quite nice to listen to, and not as horrible as some of the others I have heard. Still to beat: The PC-based voice synthesisers, but then, they have giga Hz of CPU power and RAM at their disposal...

I have been experimenting with one for a few days now. It has nine different voices and if you use the DecTalk parser, you can modify over 20 attributes of a chosen voice.

I'm sure it's a case of getting used to it, but without reading your text I wouldn't have a clue what it was saying.
"Or your bays ah belong tuss " is what I thought it said.

The higher pitch was better but sounded like something Devo would do
