Terminal software for Windoze???

Hi there.

What are some softwares I can use to log information from the COM port under Windoze?

What do the rest of you use for that kind of thing?

Do you mean "Terminal"?

There is number of options: Terminal, Programming Editor [press F9], AITerm [from Hippy], RealTerm just to name a few.

With a bit of effort you can write your own.

I know of the built-in terminal in PE of course, but it won't allow you to log information to a file.

Is there a link to hippy's AIterm?
I see you mention Real Term - I will search for that in the meantime...

HyperTerminal is a windows default usually found under accessories/communications folders.

Also try that F9 [not F8] in PE. I don't know were to find AITerm but RealTerm is available from Sourceforge I think.

I found AITerm by searching the forums.
It is small and cute, but does not log data to a logfile that I can find, so this one is out(unless I am missing something).

RealTerm I found here:

It looks like it might be the puppy, as it can save to a log-file.
Thanks for the heads-up. :)

It was application names I needed - I can then usually track them down... :D

I'll keep you posted on the results with RealTerm.

Lets chat a little, I write custom software and depending on what you would like it shouldnt take me more than a day.

Private message me and will see what we can come up with.
once finished I will post it, as all my basic work is freeware.......to a point....LOL.
