this link from the datasheet page is working to the AXE210:
    http://www.rev-ed.co.uk/docs/axe210.pdf

for the GS these links are working:
    http://www.rev-ed.co.uk/docs/GPS001.pdf
    http://www.rev-ed.co.uk/docs/GPS001A.pdf

But yes the "AXE210_GPS.pdf" GPS specific tutorial mentioned in several places does not exist - even trying other search methods.

hippy could not find it over 2.4 years ago . . . . so not a new item/problem

The problem has been that if an instruction manual is made for 1 particular GPS, it may not apply to others. I believe it was decided quite some time ago not to proceed, at least not from RevEd.
The challenge was open for any contributor to write one if they so wished. But again, where do you start?

Feel free to ask questions as quite a few of us have prior knowledge of working with various GPS modules.

Was there anything specific you needed to know?
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is...

Start with the one being used. If each member wrote up a section about comms, codes, etc and PICAXE program related to the GPS they are working and it was all posted into the same (say) code snippets thread then a reasonal "tutorial" would gradually be built up.
